Cop's Christmas Gift Guide

Even you can wrap a four-inch cube, can't you? The self-healing polymer Sniper Training cube from Just Shoot Me Products is a jumping, spinning, leaping reactive target that'll flat-out challenge you on follow-up shots. By the time you read this, the Handgun Training cube will be ready to rock, too. The used cube at the right has taken over 20,000 rounds of 5.56mm to .50 BMG, and she still tap-dances. No, you can't buy the used one at a discount, cheapskate.

It Looks Like Pin Pricks, Not Bullet Holes

I got a chance to sight in my Bushmaster yesterday and was amazed at your target material. It looks like pin pricks not bullet holes and I can easily see if the material holds up this will be the last target I ever have to buy as long as I don't shoot the stand. If you need a testimonial let me know. I love it and would recommend it to anyone.

Gunsnet West Virginia Shoot

Feedback from The West Virginia Shoot (Sep 23 - 25)

"The shoot was a complete success. We had a Great time shooting up your targets. The Prairie Dog targets were hit multiple times with .22 caliber, 9MM & .45ACP handguns at the pistol range. Those targets are fantastic! Even after being hit over & over again they show no sign of falling apart. The stainless steel frame even took the full power of a S&W 500 Magnum - direct hit - bent the frame only! We bent it back and went on shooting it some more. Awesome targets!! On the rifle range these targets (and the Sniper Training Cube) were blasted with .22 caliber, .223, 7.62x39, .303, .308 and 8MM rounds. Same result too. I do believe they'll take at least another several hundred rounds before showing signs of destruction. I can't say enough. These targets are a great buy! We certainly hope we can get some for next years shoot!"

Sniper Training Cube & Prairie Dog Target - SniperWorld

Sniper Training Cube & Prairie Dog Target
by SniperWorld

The Sniper Training cubes was kindly sent to us for testing by
Just Shoot Me Products. The idea behind the sniper cube is that it's virtually indestructible and when it's shot it bounces to new location. This makes the shooting more fun and challenging as the with each shot the cube moves to different location at a different distance. In our experience for this idea to work the cube requires a relatively flat shooting range with not too much vegetation.

The Sniper Training Cube

When first handling the cubes they seemed too hard to whit stand shooting without cracking or breaking but we were soon proved wrong. We put about 50 shots of .308 through the blue cube and the result was a only collection of small black marks on the surface. Only the shots that had hit the very edge of the cube had managed to make a small mark on the cube.

The orange cube was given a harsher treatment. It was shot with .223, 7.62x39, .308, and 9mm. The shot count was in the hundreds. Again no real damage was done to the cube, only the amount of the black "entry wounds" was higher. When shooting the cube with .223 and 7.62x39 (AR-15 & AK) the cube seemed to be too heavy and did not move very much. Of course the 9mm gave the same results. When shot with .308 the cube moved as promised.

The Prairie Dog

Along with the cube we also received a Prairie Dog made of the same material as the cube. The varmint measures 7 by 3 and weighs 1.2lbs. The varmint was actually more rewarding to shoot as it was lighter and it bounced wildly when shot right. Like the cube, the varmint proved also durable and we were only able to produce some minor scars on it. The Prairie dogs we received had flat back side, but the current versions sold are full 3d.

The cube and the varmint proved to be very popular among the people at the range. In fact, due to popular demand we actually had to leave one of the cubes and the varmint behind when we left the range. We are expecting to have the orange cube back soon to able to take pictures of it's current condition.

UPDATE*

We got the orange cube back. We haven't got and accurate round count of how much it has been shot, but judging from the marks on it the shot count is in the hundreds. So far it has held up very well.

pros
+ virtually indestructible
+ works as promised
+ safe to shoot

We were forced to give the product 5 stars. The cube did everything it was promised to do and it was darn fun too.

3D Prairie Dog Target - GunLoads

3D Prairie Dog Target
by GunLoads

Background

I'm back with my second review. This time we were able to test the ballistic polymer prairie dog. The prairie dog itself is about 7 inches tall weighing a little over one pound. It's made out of the same material as the ballistic sniper cube which we tested the same day, and this little dog is still suppose to take any caliber, any projectile from any distance. I do have to start off with saying that the detail in this prairie dog is very nice. It looks like it has fur with detailed eyes, ears, face, and a 3 1/2 inch tail. So, off we go.

Sniper Training Cube - GunLoads

Sniper Training Cube
by GunLoads

Background

The Sniper Training Cube is a 4" x 4" x 4" solid block of Ballistic Polymer manufactured by Ballistic Technologies. It's said that they can take any caliber from a .17HMR to a .50BMG at point blank range. A rough estimate would say that it's about 3 pounds. It's also suppose to react violently and unpredictable after being hit giving you the effect of having to shoot it at different angles, different and changing yardages, and under different circumstances. We found this out after shooting it at 180 meters and it dipped down into a small pit where we overshot it. (As you will see in one of our videos) So without further ado, lets get started.

A Soldiers R and R Leave

About a month ago I ordered one of your ballistic cubes for when I would be home from Iraq on R and R leave, I returned in the states yesterday afternoon, when I got to my house I found the box you guys had sent me, 3 cubes and a prairie dog target. I can't thank you guys enough. It added to the great returning home feeling of seeing my daughter, family and of course my guns and getting the targets. I cannot wait to try them out, thank you so much, it was definitely a great surprise. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.

Strange? Nah!

In the "Essential Oddities" category (right), that rubber-rope thingie is McNett's GruntLine. An indispensable braid of live rubber with clips at both ends, it's a bungee, tourniquet, lanyard, clothesline, gear strap, and 52 other things. Send at least two. The funky orange polymer blocks are Sniper Training Cube reactive targets from Just Shoot Me Products. Troops in-country train constantly, and this is one tough, durable, jumping, spinning, challenging target. My well-used one on the right has now sucked up over 14,000 rounds of 5.56mm, 8,200 7.62mm, and 578 rounds of .50 BMG. She still dances delightfully every time the music plays. By the time you read this, the Pistol Cube will be available, too.

The Ballistic Cube from Just Shoot Me Products jumps and
wiggles even after thousands of rounds have gone through it.

The Ballistic Polymer Torso Unit has been dubbed the
“Safest Target in the World” by its creator Jeff Kruse.

Shooters are forever looking for a way to spice up their target practice, and there is a new product out called the Ballistic Cube that will do just that. Just Shoot Me Products and its parent company, Ballistic Technology, are the brainchild of Jeff Kruse. A metallurgist by trade, Kruse spent 25 year (on and off) tinkering with the idea of the Ballistic Cube. When the Marine Corps wanted a target with unpredictable movement to help train its snipers, Kruse took a polymer material, added other chemicals and elements, formed it all into a military spec 4-inch cube and, voila, a resilient target that reacts violently when shot was born. When I asked Kruse what makes the Cube move, he got a little technical, “The unpredictable movement is formulated by the velocity and size of projectiles in conjunction with a high speed solidification process of a slurry of chemicals and elements that when combined provide an amazing resilience of elongation, yield and tensile qualities.” Basically, “it is an elemental reaction,” he finished.
